This year we were lucky enough to have Chicago Tribune photojournalist Scott Strazzante judge POM's multimedia for the 2012-2013 school year.
FIRST PLACE
1. Marta Iwanek - A Different Kind of Love
Judge's comments: Excellent piece with humor. Nice use of details and good interview.
SECOND PLACE
2. Myriam Lublink - Olivia's Reality
Judge's comments: A very sweet piece. The interview and b roll synch well. The start was a bit awkward.
THIRD PLACE
3. Tom Hicken - Single-Handedly
Judge's comments: Nice story with candid interview. However, music was overly dramatic and we don't meet the subject until 30 seconds in.
